SERDANG, August 11 – Agrobank handed over an agriculture kit based on the elements of urban farming to the Agriculture Faculty Student Association, Universiti Putra Malaysia (PERMATANI UPM), at the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2022.
President of PARMATANI UPM, Syed Muhamad Nazdmi Syed Zahari, stated the symbolic handover of the Agro-Kit will enable UPM agriculture students to improve their skills in the agriculture field.
“The kit serves as a stepping stone for the Faculty of Agriculture students, specifically in instilling the importance of agriculture in their daily life. The Agro-Kit can also serve as a basic material in pursuing the agriculture field and as an introduction to agriculture.
“As a youth myself, I implore more youths to pursue this field as it can be a beginning into business and producing entrepreneurs who are knowledgeable, successful and competitive in this industry,” he said.
He added that the agriculture field is a career that plays a significant role in current times, especially ensuring that Malaysian food security is always guaranteed.
