ZHOUKOU, August 2 - The Faculty of Forestry and Environment (FHAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Zhoukou Normal University (ZKNU) are committed to supporting the environmental sustainability agenda through the renewal of their Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).

The effort to renew the MoA with ZKNU aims to continue collaboration in implementing the Bachelor of Environmental Design academic programme, which involves a greater exchange of knowledge in this field.

UPM Vice Chancellor, Dato' Professor Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, said the confidence in UPM's capabilities and its global recognition, which led ZKNU to choose UPM to assist in the Teaching and Learning (T&L) activities for 14 courses within the Bachelor of Environmental Design.

"The collaboration that had been established since 2015 has witnessed various academic achievements and has further enhanced the Global Reach agenda, in line with the Minister of Higher Education’s New Year Message, that is to strengthen the influence of Malaysia's soft power.

"Therefore, I believe the MoA signed today will impact both parties positively," he said during his speech at the MoA Signing Ceremony between UPM and ZKNU, held here, today.

He mentioned the MoA will be able to add value and enhance the effectiveness of the academic programme in line with current needs in supporting the UPM Strategic Plan 2021-2025.
