The programme involved the UPM Centres of Responsibility (PTJ) frontliners, namely the University Security Division, University Health Centre (PKU) and the Occupational Safety and Health Management Office (PPKKP).

At the programme, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, presented a donation of 397 boxes of face masks to the heads of UPM PTJs, ASP Ibrahim Hassan, who is also the Head of Operation Management Section, University Security Division; Head of the University Health Centre, Dr. Fauziah Adnan; and Director of PPKKP UPM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Rafee Baharuddin,

Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan expressed his appreciation to WAZAN UPM and Sahabat Masjid UPM for their concern for UPM frontliners in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 and hoped the Putra Cakna Initiative could be expanded with various programmes and activities at the UPM staff and student levels.

Director of WAZAN UPM, Dr. Haji Razali Othman, hoped the contribution through the ‘Cakna Barisan Hadapan’ programme can help to alleviate the cost burden faced by UPM frontliners in preparing to work during the Movement Control Order (MCO), which will definitely incur costs due to the new norms.

Chairman of Sahabat Masjid UPM, Bukryman Sabri, said Sahabat Masjid UPM is ready to be a liaison or bridge between UPM staff and WAZAN regarding welfare matters and their needs during the MCO.

The PUTRA CAKNA initiative, driven by the UPM Management, aims to improve the well-being of the UPM community in facing arising challenging situations. It focuses on the well-being of the UPM community more comprehensively and inclusively, hoping that all parties will work together to realise it through the programme's implementation to achieve the goal. - UPM
