UPM, Way Research Academy ink MoU on health services

SERDANG, August 3 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Way Research Academy have exchanged a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish collaboration in research services, especially in clinical cell therapy, immunotherapy, and food technology.

The MoU exchange was done by UPM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Nazamid Saari, with the Director of Way Research Academy, Dr. Cheng Qing Shan, at the Banquet Hall, Universiti Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital (HPUPM).

Prof. Dr. Nazamid said this collaboration would have a positive impact on raising the standard of UPM as an institution capable of providing the best service to customers.

"This memorandum of understanding also opens up opportunities for collaboration in research and learning to improve the skills and knowledge of students and staff, especially in the field of medicine, which supports HPUPM's role as a teaching hospital.

“Way Research Academy is among the companies recognised both locally and internationally. Thus, I believe this helps UPM achieve its goal of building networks and collaborations with external organisations,” he said.

Way Research Academy Sdn. Bhd. is a company in the field of biotechnology which consisted of a group of researchers based in Suzhou, China, since 2008. It also has expertise in various aspects of cell therapy, from the opening of a laboratory to clinical sessions.
