SEPANG, Sept 24 - Tuanku Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, is pleased to bestow twelves awards for the best cadet officers of the UPM Reserve Officer Training Unit (ROTU) or PALAPES at the Regimental Dinner Ceremony in conjunction with the 40th Royal Commissioning of UPM PALAPES cadet officers.
UPM Vice-Chancellor, YH. Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, hoped the junior officers who have been commissioned to make full use of all the experience and knowledge gained during the PALAPES training as the best-added value to be applied in any field they venture into.
"I urge all young officers to report for duty and continue to be active in the Territorial Army Regiment or the Royal Malaysian Navy Volunteer Reserve (PSSTLDM), especially under the UPM PALAPES organisation," he said.
The Best Overall Cadet Officer for PALAPES Army was awarded to LTM Nazurah Afiqah Nadzli, while the PALAPES Navy was awarded to LTM Muhammad Zafril Hazali Hazlan.
Meanwhile, the dinner involved 172 guests and UPM PALAPES junior officers.
