SERDANG, March 24 – Three sisters, Norasikin Ishak, Norzaida Ishak and Nor Izarina Ishak, have successfully graduated with a Master of Education in Educational Administration at the 45th Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Convocation Ceremony today.
Norasikin, who is currently serving as a senior teacher in technical and vocational subjects at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Juasseh, recently moved to the school for two weeks.
Her sister, Norzaida, is a Malay language teacher at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Seri Pagi, while Nor Izarina is a teacher for the subject of design and technology.
They said the desire to further their master’s degree in UPM started from a UPM press release that offers courses in school holiday mode where lectures are held during the school holidays.
They believed the programme mode offered is convenient for them as it will not interfere with their main job as teachers.
Their determination to further their studies was supported by their father, who highly prioritised the importance of learning in their family.
In addition, they felt their success in obtaining a master’s degree could become an inspiration to their children and students.
Despite being tested with various challenges in completing their master’s degrees, they never gave up as they often held on to the motto, “never stop trying”. – UPM
