SERDANG, Jan 9 – Despite losing both his parents, Muhammad Hasbollah Mohd Rahim, 27, has persevered and continued his studies before finally graduating with a Bachelor of Accounting from the School of Business and Economics (SPE) at the 44th Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Convocation Ceremony.

Muhammad Hasbollah took care of his mother after his father’s passing in 2019 while attending online classes.

He also had to divide his time to participate in Universiti Putra Accounting Club to hone his leadership skills and interact with the community.

“My lecturers understood the adversities I faced after losing my father in my third year of studies,” he said.

Among the hardships faced at that time was when he had to sit for an online examination while his mother needed to go to the hospital with the help of an ambulance.

He was grateful that the lecturer understood his condition and allowed him to take care of the matters before resuming his examination.

His mother, unfortunately, passed away a few months later.

Muhammad Hasbollah also spent his time in the community, running a business in Perak where the profits had helped many single mothers with their daily necessities while taking care of his ailing mother.

He advised others to avoid being in a problem for too long and ensure the problem can be resolved immediately so as not to suffer from depression. – UPM
