SERDANG, Jan 13 -Despite being busy in managing a newly established company that had led to the postponement of her Masters’ graduation, through her hard work and smart time management, Cheah Kah Ling finally succeeded in both areas - studies and work.
Cheah, 30, received her Master of Science degree in Design Innovation at the 44th Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Convocation Ceremony here today.
"I have no regrets, but I am proud of the experience that I have gone through. Never underestimate your abilities and potential at a young age”.
"Don't be afraid to make the wrong decision as long as you feel it is good for yourself because as a Bachelor, Master's, or PhD student, you have the ability and potential to succeed," she said.
Cheah, founder of the interior design company, RS Home Concept, said she managed her time by flexibly adjusting his work schedule to be able to attend lectures and at the same time be able to manage the company.
She said she hoped to drive the cabinet and interior design industry development in Malaysia to the world stage.
She joined a mobility programme in Taiwan as an exchange student at Tatung University for six months and received a Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) as well as assisted a lecturer in teaching for one year to cover the study expenses.
