SERDANG, 24 June – Around 1000 staff attended UPM’s Eid Festival that was held at the Main Hall of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Centre of Culture and Art (PKKSSAAS) in UPM.
UPM’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datin Paduka Dato’ Dr. Aini Ideris said that it was a meaningful event because it was an opportunity for the entire staff of UPM to spread joy and build great work relationships with each other.
“This spirit of togetherness should not be practised only during festivals; in fact, it should be a continuous practice in our daily lives,” she said.
She also encouraged the staff of UPM to work hard and celebrate the university’s achievements, together in the future.
She also added that, “The University’s achievements are collective efforts of all UPM staff and the sincerity of our efforts will bring us blessings and also improve the university’s image to a higher level”.
The event was also attended by the Board of Directors, the University’s Management, Senior Executives, alumni, retirees, officers, staff as well as fellow students of UPM.
A wide variety of foods and drinks were served to the guests. The event was very festive with the presence of guests in traditional Malay costumes such as Baju Kurung, Kebaya and Baju Melayu.
