Chairman of the UPM PKS Rugby Organising Committee, Dr. Mohd Rozilee Wazir Norjali Wazir, said he was proud to carry out the voluntary mission with his team because it provided the societal aspect of soft skills to UPM students.

The AETFT team started the Flood Relief Mission at Benta, Pahang on January 8 for cleaning work at the houses of UPM students and alumni involved, namely PhD (Animal Production) student, Abdul Mu'in Hassan Basri; Master of Science (Industrial Design Studies) student, Abdul Mun'im Hassan Basri; alumni of the Diploma in Animal Health and Husbandry (DKHP) programme, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc Veterinary Parasitology), Basripuzi Nurul Hayyan Hassan Basri and alumni of the Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science programme and Bachelor of Forestry Science, UPM, Abdul Mu'iz Hassan Basri.

The AETFT team was led by Serdang Angels team manager, Muhammad Zyuraidi Abdul Majid, who was in Benta for three days. They helped the residents at the UPM students and alumni's residence by cleaning the houses that were severely damaged by water during the recent floods.

UPM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Prof. Dr. Arifin Abdu, was also present at the briefing session before the AETFT Team departing for Pahang.

Prof. Dr. Arifin said UPM is the Centre of Sports Excellence for Rugby which created various successes, especially in the national rugby arena, and produced many national players through the programmes implemented under the centre of excellence.
